Feeling unmotivated?

This is a huge topic in college that everyone struggles with. Getting out of bed for a morning class is challenging enough let alone doing a whole workout routine.

This week we will be talking about setting goals and writing a weekly schedule. This will keep you motivated and have a healthy mindset going into your week.

  • Setting a goal or goals for what you want to achieve should always be your first step no matter what you are doing. Setting goals will point you in the right direction of how you want your week to start. Weekly goals are a great way to break down bigger goals. Your goals don't have to be huge, setting short term goals and achieving them will keep you excited and motivated for the weeks to come. Setting a goal like "I want to workout at least once this week" or "I will walk to class instead of drive", is a great way to start your health journey!

  • Make a schedule. Writing out your class times, when you want to workout, and meal times will help you feel motivated. and will keep from that "burnt out" feeling. Making a weekly schedule will also remind you of your goals and will help you achieve them. When creating your routine, it is crucial to allow yourself to have rest days, your health is a priority and being in college is stressful! Make sure you are keeping your mental health at the same standard as your physical!

Make your schedule visible! Wether you are writing it on your phone or on a calendar in your room, seeing it daily will remind you and motivate you to stick to it!

DONT be afraid to fail! Again, you are in college and you want to have fun! If you forget to workout, don't be hard on yourself, there is always next week!!
